What is Served

Our hot lunch is prepared fresh daily, never frozen, and consists of meat, vegetable, salad or fruit, bread, milk or juice, and dessert. All menus are reviewed by a registered dietician. Each meal is cardiac and diabetic friendly and special dietary needs are met when possible.

When are meals available?

Meals are delivered mid-day, Monday—Friday. Holiday Meals are also a part of our program.

Saturday meals

Saturday Meals are delivered to those on the most restrictive diets (i.e. renal diets) helping them to maintain good health.

Nutritional supplements

Nutritional supplements (Ensure or like product) are provided to individuals at the request of their physicians.

Who delivers the meals?

Volunteers deliver the meals in their own vehicles at their own expense, which helps to lower the cost of the meals.

Is there a fee?

Yes, althoughthere is a sliding scale and fees are based on the recipient’s ability to pay.

How does one apply for the service?

You, a family member, or a friend may call for an application & additional information. Referrals are also accepted from doctors, hospitals, social service agencies, and health care agencies.

Other Programs

Supper Service

This program is served to our most needy of meals recipients, along with their lunch, for their evening meal.

Animeals program

Through Animeals of Meals on Wheels, pets of meal recipients are provided with a monthly supplemental delivery of food through donations from individuals in the community. No funds are used for this program. Learn more
